Sables set to face Kenya

rugby_zimHARARE - Zimbabwes fifteens rugby team will leave the country today for a clash against one of the continental giants, Kenya, in the International Rugby Board Tri-nations series on Saturday. The tournament will also include Uganda.


Winning their scheduled matches will give the Sables a chance of improving their international rankings with the IRB as the tournament will be reckoned by the games world motherboard as worth allocating points as the international tests.

Uganda will participate in the tournament boasting the better side of the three according to the IRB rankings. They are ranked at position 42 a position ahead of Kenya.

The Sables, who were the inaugural winners of the Confederation of Africa Rugby Southern Trophy, last year, will start their campaign this Saturday against Kenya away from home. They will leave the country for Uganda again next week for a clash against the Cranes before returning home for their first return leg on home soil on July 19.
