Harassed by ZBC licence thugs

EDITOR - Would like to put through a complaint through your newspaper of the Nazi type attitude of the ZBC/ZTV.
The Licence Inspectors are going around harassing the public to buy Car Radio Licences. Their attitude is nothing short of threatening.

Also, was told by one very upset lady that no less than 15 Inspectors were dropped off near her house early one morning and demanded she buy a TV licence there and then. She said that if she hadnt been on her own and had a man to stand up for her she would have refused. I myself have been harassed by them every time I go to a supermarket, and they are nothing short of rude and intimidating.

Bearing in mind that ZBC are demanding the unbelievably huge sum of US$30 for a car radio licence and US$50 for a TV licence, and all the programmes are of such substandard content.

It would be perhaps more acceptable if a discount was given for pensioners, or at least charge US$10 for car radio licence. My husband and I are both retired and, like the majority of Zimbabweans, living on the bread line.
