If my facts are right, he is that famous Zanu (PF) MP who was brave enough to have himself thrown out of Parliament because he had to defend his newspaper project, The Tribune. Now that the airwaves are opening up, should he not be popping up to reopen The Tribune? KK Pretoria.
I want to register my anger at some of the Non-Governmental Organisations that are sprouting. For sure, some of them are bogus and they are looking for funding by taking advantage of the chaos in this country. Some of them ( I will not name them) are portraying the country in a very bad light, as if nothing positive is happening here in Zimbabwe- let us be fair. Bulawayo.
The Harare City Council has admitted failure to control the commuter omnibuses. We said it, that heavy handed approach would not work but the council wouldnt listen.
The council should have and need to pressure the Commuter Omnibus Operators Association (COOA) to set up a formal management structure that will supervise the industry and ensure members operate within the confines of the law and municipal by-laws this is what is called self-regulation.
Meanwhile, why doesnt the COOA take the city council to task over its failure to building new termini and maintaining or renovate existing ones? Looks like the association is also very weak. Frustrated Commuter.
