Magar, who stands at 22-inches-high( about 56 centimetres), attracted large crowds in Times Square, reports The Metro.
His appearance comes just days after Guinness World Records introduced the world to the current world’s shortest man, Colombian Edward Nino Hernandez who, at 27 inches tall, will lose his crown to Magar when he comes of age on 14 October.
The title of world’s shortest man became available in March when previous record-holder He Pingping died.
Magar’s next scheduled stop on his round-the-world publicity jaunt is in London.
