In an interview, Gezana said she was proud to represent her country in the prestigious tournament. “I am happy to have made a remarkable achievement and I hope I will continue with the good performance when we compete with other countries in the Zone Six Games. As a seasoned female darts player in Manicaland, I am really concerned about the low female participation in the game. I hope that we will have more women willing to take part simply because I know that there are a lot of them in this province who have not been given the platform to showcase their talents.
“I may also take this opportunity to make a passionate appeal for more sponsors to come on board so that we have more competitions,” Gezana said. Manicaland Darts Association chairman, Charles Gwasira congratulated Gezana and urged more women to take up the sport.
