The remaining population, who have been stripped of their dignity and rights but have found consolation and comfort in God, are now the next object of conquest of President Mugabe and his Zanu (PF) party. As a result of many atrocities he has committed against the populace many children have been left orphans and many women widows.
The question on the lips of many of us is when will President Mugabe rampage and penchant for conquering of every institution and subduing the people of Zimbabwe stop? When will President Mugabe embrace true democracy and stop eliminating every opposition?
It seems to me that his current focus is on the church. The latest birth and identity cards registration ploy is a means that Mugabe wants to use to infiltrate the church and identify his perceived enemies and opposition and consequently eliminate them.
However, we will continue to resist every attempt that he is using to buy over the conscience of the Christian community, though we know there are going to be consequences as a result of resisting him.
Various news sources have reported President Mugabe and his Zanu (PF) partys plan to cut the number of churches from next month October, to make easier for them to control the leadership of the church. Therefore I want to urge the Christian community in Zimbabwe to resist this evil plan because should he succeed in this plan, that would definitely be the end of freedom of worship in Zimbabwe and the end of separation of politics/state and religion. The struggle continues.
