The former Warriors skipper and coach who quit South African Premiership side Free State Stars after just three games in charge has resurfaced at Black Leopards as the clubs new caretaker coach after the departure of Joel Masutha.
Chidzambwa left Stars due to family problems.
While Black Leopards manager Sam Khapathe refused to shed light on the nature of Chidzambwas employment conditions, The Zimbabwean has established that the former Dynamos coach has been given a performance related contract that will see him being appointed as a substantive coach if he manages to do well.
He (Chidzambwa) has signed a performance related contract because the management would like to evaluate his results before making binding decisions. The former coach he is replacing had a similar contract after he succeeded Vladislav Heric at the beginning of the season, said a source close to the club.
They have faith in him because he is a very experienced coach, who is well travelled on the African continent. They believe he has the ability to take the club into the Premiership.
Black Leopards are currently fourth on the log table with five points from four matches and are likely to face a tough test against former Premiership outfit Jomo Cosmos, who will enjoy the advantage of playing in front of their home fans.
Cosmos are the log leaders and will start off the match as favourites to collect maximum points.
Chidzambwa is eager to put his coaching career back on track following his sudden and unexpected resignation at Free State Stars.
A victory against Cosmos will go a long way in asserting his growing reputation as one of he upcoming coaches in Southern Africa.
