Home improvement in Zim

HARARE - Inspired by a gathering of South Africas finest home improvement product and service providers (Home Makers) last year has resulted in the birthing of Zimbabwes own premier home improvement forum.

Chartel Investments, a small to medium scale company based in Harare, is set for a major breakthrough as it hosts the inaugural Home Makers Zimbabwe Expo next month.

The exhibition expected to attract close to 200 small to medium enterprises (SMEs) will be held at the Borrowdale race course on November 13 under the theme, Enhance your lifestyle.

Event co-coordinator, Odwell Gwengo said the event would revolutionize the way homemaking industries had been viewed in the country over the years.

As a company we believe now is the right time to be introducing the concept in Zimbabwe now that the economy is improving, he said. We want local people to add value to their properties.

Speaking during the official launch of the project last month, Zimtrade chief executive officer, Crispen Tsvarai, said the exhibition offered SMEs an opportunity to showcase their products.
