Starting on December 15 and closing down on the December 22, the 2010 edition of Ibumbawill roll out an exciting, fresh and eclectic programme of non-stop entertainment and celebrations galore.
Based on previous attendances, more than 15 000 local and international fans are expected to tumble down the streets of Bulawayo in support of this highly anticipated calendar event.
This years festival has been expanded to incorporate a whole range of art genres including visual arts, literature and dance.
Last year the festival was a leap up from previous editions and featured acts from England (Janet Wood), Zambia, United States of America (Andy D Rock) and Zimbabwe with most of the international acts being the South Africans which brought in the likes of Mapaputsi, Mgarimbe, Anavarata and Tenny T. Amongst the local acts were Umdumo Wesizwe, Idols Africa winner Eric Moyo, Jeys Marabini, Dino Mudondo and Willom Tight to name but a few.
This years event is set to be even more colourful and preparations are at an advanced stage. More than 40 groups and individual artists will grace the five stages – The Main Stage, Indoor Stage & The Little Theatre at Makokobas Stanley Hall & Square and the newly introduced Indaba Book Caf and Bulawayo Theatre Club.Post published in: Uncategorized
