Jonah AKA Jo-e, is an aspiring artist on the rise.
2011 is the year that people will get to know him a lot better. He will be releasing a Mix-tape / Album later this year called A PIECE OF ME and heading it will be his New Single, You Know You Got Me
Sharing the stage with Oliver Mutukudzi at the final A Academy concert in 2006, his has been given the chance to meet and chat with 2005 South African Idol, Karen Cortje, during the A Academy competition. He released his first album, “Diversity” with ten tracks in June 2007. Top producers, Andrew Baird and DS, produced the album. He has worked on a number of compilations with Kudzai Sevenzo who came 2nd in Project Fame South Africa in 2005.
He performed at the opening night of the Harare International Festival of the Arts (HIFA) 2007 and sang with Prudence Kasiyamuru and Chiwoniso Maraire. His dream is to become an established international music artist and share his talent with the world. All his life he wanted to be the best he can be and that, for him, is in music. “He is 22 years old and he believes he has a bright and successful future ahead of him”. His favourite saying is “Life is too short to give up what you are hungry to achieve.”
He was also nominated for a Zimbabwe music award in 2007 for most promising artist. 2008 competed for idols east Africa, was rated the best audition in Africa. In 2009 Jonah and a group of his friends by the names of Dj Philo and Tafadzwa Nazare won the first University UOX world stage competition in Malaysia using beat box and harmony. He has recently been taken under the wing by RnB Pop Duo Bkay & Kazz who are goint to get him ready for the International music scene.
