Mugabe guilty of treason

mugabe_cnnEDITOR - I sincerely hope that this letter is read by everyone and anyone connected with Zimbabwe. We all know that unemployment is a serious problem in SADC. How did it arise in the first place? (Pictured: Robert Mugabe)

In South Africa it arose in 1994 with porous borders surrounding the country as a welcome red carpet into the land of milk and honey. Only very recently is attention being paid to our borders 16 years too late. It is doubtful if anyone can quantify the number of immigrants entering South Africa since 1994 but it is substantial.

In Zimbabwe it occurred through gross mismanagement of a once prosperous country and the systematic destruction of all the strengths of the country. What happened to the common business practice of identifying strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats and working to improve them? Obviously they were never even considered in Zimbabwe, leading to ridiculous inflation figures and the downfall of the economy.

Since the formation of a power sharing arrangement in Zimbabwe the situation has stabilized. Everyone knows who brought this about. But the agreement has been reneged on and not been fully implemented and the full benefits are being held back. This situation needs to be put back on track.

At this moment in history if you had the power to create untold tens of thousands of jobs in Southern Africa with virtual certainty, would you do it particularly for your own country?

Robert Mugabe President of Zimbabwe can create all these jobs by standing down!

President Zuma of South Africa can create all these jobs by insisting that Robert Mugabe stands down.

If Robert Mugabe refuses to assist his country and the SADC countries, including South Africa, to create virtually guaranteed employment opportunities it can only be regarded as treasonable.
