However, the councillor for Ward 19 in Mabvuku, Munyaradzi Kufahakutizwi remained detained on issuing threats of violence to Zanu PF youths operating market stalls in Mbare.
The MDC members, some with babies were detained at the Harare Police Station. The 51 were arrested at an MDC Youth Assembly meeting, where they were putting in place youth structures ahead of the partys national congress. They were taken to Harare Central Police Station and charged with unlawful gathering. The charges were later changed issuing threats of violence before they released after signing warned and cautioned statements.
Meanwhile, Gutu North MP, Hon. Hamandishe Maramwidze has been hospitalised after he was involved in a car accident in Chivhu along the Harare Beitbridge highway on Friday. Hon. Maramwidze was travelling from Harare to Gutu when his vehicle was hit from the back by a bus which was travelling to South Africa. He is in a stable condition and is admitted at Parirenyatwa hospital
