Amos, who is the lead singer and founding member of the Mahendere Brothers, a gospel band that is dominated by his siblings, has barely performed any public shows since he was swallowed by Zanu (PF) sharks. Music promoters ditched the once popular band which has become a shadow of its former self after participating in the production of Zanu (PF) propaganda jingles. Amos younger brother was part of the Jonathan Moyos propaganda band PaxAfro.
Following the unpopularity of the band, Amos, who was reported to have been promised a job in the ministry of Media, Information and Publicity, is alleged to be surviving on piece jobs-mainly the production of propaganda material-by his new boss Webster Shamu. According to a close family friend of the Mahendere Brothers, all is not well for the former gospel maestro.
