HARARE - Veteran sungura musician and lead guitarist, Cephas "Moto Muzhinji" Mashakada The musician, who of late has been struggling to fight stiff competition in the sungura music domain, believes that his latest offering will take him back to the glory days. Mashakada dominated the local music scene with such hits like Samson, Kariba, Kurara Hope, Ndarangarira Gamba and Zuva Rangu among others, and said the latest offering will give him the chance to come back in competition.
“We are touring some areas in the whole nation promoting our new album. We have decided to take this initiative in honour of our fans who have not been seeing us for a very long time now,” said the talented lead guitarist.
Commenting about the new album, Moto Muzhinji said: “According to my assessment, the album has been well received by the music fans. It is mixture of gospel and museve tunes. It is the chance for our fans out there to see us performing the old and the new songs live and I hope they will enjoy it.”
