Zimbabwe were drawn in an ultra-competitive Pool F at the tournament alongside Australia, Argentina and Canada .
A spokesman from the IRB said the irrepressible form of the Luveve High School student would be key to Zimbabwes hopes of making an impression in the series.
If Zimbabwe have all their players fit and available they can be a match for many of the core Series sides in the draw. They beat Argentina on the first day of the new season in Dubai and a week later also accounted for Kenya to take the Shield title in South Africa. Fast, fluent runners but can be inconsistent. Gardener Nechironga has been a stand-out this season for them and Wesley Mbanje is a proven thoroughbred, he said.
Zimbabwe made it to the shield semi-finals in the tournament last year. The 1.94metre Nechironga, weighing 84kg, and veteran Mbanje, have been a standout performers in their teams decent run of form over the past two years.
