Lady Golfers to compete in Zambia

HARARE - One of Zimbabwes ladies golf icon, Claire Minter, is expected to make the country proud as she captain a seven-member team set take part in the Gilberson and Page Tournament and the A & B Triangular series scheduled for Zambia from May 27 to June 6.

Minter will take part in the Gilberson and Page Tournament together with Aulia Alfazema, Loice Chingono, Brenda Liepe, Yolanda Mubaiwa, Batsirai Tilowakuti and Acy Zerf as they face other golfers from Kenya and the host nation in the singles and foursomes matchplay format.

The A & B Triangular series Division A team will be led by Polly Crew who will team up with Loveness Chandavengerwa, Jean McKenzie; Sally Preston and Virginia Vhudzi in the same format against Zambia and Botswana. Meanwhile, the A & B Triangular series team B will be captained by Marita Kahwema. She will represent Zimbabwe together with Kuksy Lalla, Rodnah Mutasa and Margaret Vera. While Division A handicaps range from 13-18, Kahwemas handicaps range from 19+.
