Not for one moment can we imagine the Lord Jesus Christ encouraging His followers to “jambanja” someone elses land and/or demand habitation through a piece of very ungodly law. What happened to, “do unto others as you would have them do unto you?”
As I read this article the scripture that came, immediately, to mind was, “What does it profit a man he gain the whole world yet lose his soul?” What example are those church leaders setting to their flocks and do they not understand that they will reap what they sow.
What an incredibly sad situation when our church leaders become deceived by demented and desperate politicians and follow their gospel of greed and pillage! Our churches are meant to be Christ centred and are meant to preach Christ crucified as Paul exhorted. The cross is an instrument of death, dying to self so that Christ may be supreme, not utter carnal degradation and greed. James Chapter 5 says rich oppressors will be judged. Those leaders, though not mentioned by name, would do well to read that passage. If Christ is not on the throne of your hearts then who is?

EDITOR - I refer to the article in The Zimbabwean on May 8, 2011 entitled, "Church leaders offered land." This is an appalling situation and confirms Christians' fears that many in Zimbabwe, although attending church, sit under a false gospel. It would be interesting to hear the "preaching" in those so-called churches.
