The Daily Agenda: 11 May2011

Bulawayo- Bulawayo Agenda wishes to inform its Partners, stakeholders, communities and all those concerned that one of our weekly Agenda team members, Mziwandile Ndlovu was summoned and is being detained at Hwange police Station since yesterday. He is being charged under section 31 of the Criminal Law Codification Act.

Allegations are that he wrote and published a fictitious story in the 110th edition of the Weekly Agenda dated 23-29 April 2011. This was in connection with a Victoria Falls National Healing meeting jointly organized by Victoria Falls Agenda and a consortium of organizations in Victoria Falls on issues of National healing. This meeting had to be cancelled after two speakers, Vice-President John Nkomo and Honorable Sekai Holland failed to turn up due to other commitments, while Honorable Moses Mzila-Ndlovu was arrested in Hwange on his way to the meeting.

As of today, Mziwandile Ndlovu is in Hwange where his lawyer is working on applying for bail. We will keep you updated as the day progresses.
