EDITOR - Whilst I am not against the principle of indigenisation or empowerment at all, I do believe that the Zanu (PF) way of doing this will make investors believe there is no point in having any further involvement with Zimbabwe.
There would be no point in carrying on the fight because there would be nothing left to recover once these greedy fatcats complete their plunder.
They almost destroyed Zimbabwe in the way they did their so called “land reform”. Doing the same to industry will complete the process of destruction. What is extremely worrying is that Zanu (PF) seems to be going full steam ahead with their plans and nobody seems able or willing to stop them. I read that mining companies are submitting their “plans” in compliance. What is a further worry is that I have been told that Companies like Old Mutual wrote off or wrote down their assets over the last few years as the situation deteriorated. Indigenisation might just suit them at this point in time and we need to watch what they do next.
