Zim coach mentors rugby talent

rugbyJOHANNESBURG - Former Zimbabwean and Highlanders Rugby player Likang Ndlovu is now mentoring and directing young talent at Inner City Rugby Development team.

Ndlovu has been working on young talent for a year now and has been applauded by community for spearheading a successful initiative.

We are fortunate in the Inner-City to have concerned and community loving man like Ndlovu. He is struggling to remove youngsters from the streets, said Smithers Mark, whose son is part of the team mentored by Ndlovu.

Ndlovu wants young players between the age of 6 and 18 to participate in career developments programs he is offering.

He also challenged Zimbabweans and other foreign nationals to come forward and receive training.

Ndlovu holds a rugby national coaching certificate says he aims at turning Africa into a feared rugby territory through development of young players.

I have a lot of experience and I want to work with dedicated youths who are aiming higher in their lives for success.

There are a lot of opportunities in the sporting fraternity and some will make a living out of it if you give great commitment to it, he said. Ndlovu once coached Highlanders Juniors in Bulawayo, Botswana Sharks Senior team (army outfit), Botswana Tuskers Senior outfit and Sandton Rugby Youth.
