This comes amid revelations that there are no candidates standing against him in the forthcoming election to be held in Harare on Saturday morning at a plush five-star hotel during the associations Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Another scribe, Kumbirai Mafunda, currently with The Daily News, is also expected to join the "tea party" and take over the Vice Chairman's position, after he too stood "unopposed" after the Electoral Committee sat in Harare.
The two will join other members forming the MISA National Governing Council.
MISA Executive Director, Nhlanhla Ngwenya, told members in a statement that all scrutinisation had been completed and the candidates were now known for the posts up for grabs at the AGM in Harare on Saturday. The AGM begins at 8:00 am.
Ngwenya said there would be no candidates standing against Ncube and Mafunda for the position of Chairman and Vice Chairman, respectively, because no one had desired to compete for the two top posts after the nomination court closed.
He said gender would also be considered when electing the three committee members at the AGM.
Those who had made the grade for the three MISA Committee Members are Annahstacia Ndlovu, Lifaqane Nare, Kelvin Jakachira (from Newsday) and Wallace Mawire, a freelance journalist from the National Association of Freelance Journalists (NAFJ) currently led by Patrick Musira.
It still remains to be seen who will be booted out from the four individuals vying for the top three Committee member posts.
Ngwenya said the 50/50 gender position enshrined in the MISA Constitution would be respected when considering the three Committee members for the Association at the AGM.
