Stop the violence in Zimbabwe: Vigil for democracy and rights

Zimbabwe Embassy, Zimbabwe House, 429 Strand, London WC2R 0JR

In the past few months Zimbabwe has experienced an upsurge in violence and intimidation.

On 27 June we will be holding a lunchtime vigil to mark the anniversary of the fateful 2008 presidential “run off” election when Zanu PF ran a brutal campaign of violence including mass rape in a bid to retain power. Zimbabwe may have elections within the year. We cannot let the violence happen again.

Support a democratic Zimbabwe, Support the call: Stop the violence: Democracy and rights for Zimbabwe NOW!

Be there/ensure your organisation is represented.

We will be presenting hundreds of stop the violence cards to the Embassy. If you want copies of the card or to let us know you’ll be attending the vigil, please email [email protected]

I have attached a flyer for the vigil, please do all you can to promote the event. If you would like any printed copies of the flyer please let me know.
