I’m a young woman aged 24 and I have a problem with the man I love so much who is so stingy. He spoils me with everything I ask for but makes sure he never gives me hard cash. If I am to ask him for some money for a hair-do then he will go with me to the saloon and make sure he pays the money.
Whenever I ask him money for something he would rather buy me that thing than give me the cash, I just don’t know why. Now I’m worried if ever we are going to be married, how are we going to plan things together if he doesn’t trust me with his money like that? – Tinkerbell

There is obviously a reason why he behaves like that. Maybe it has something to do with his past relationships. But if he buys you what you ask for and pays for your needs it is rather unfair to call him a stingy man.
You have nothing to worry about really. I’m actually concerned about you for relying so much on his money. In this day and age, where as women we are encouraging gender equality and women empowerment, you should be doing something to take care of your own needs and be able to plan what you want without having to bank on someone else.
You need to respect your man, just as he will respect you. You may risk losing his respect if you don’t show any effort to work for yourself. You need to see to it that you get your education right, follow the career of your choice and be able to earn money – so that you can also contribute towards your plans when you get married.
Men love it when their women depend on them, and it is good to show him and give him the responsibility to take care of your needs.
They love feeling important and needed. But if you ask too much, especially with something to do with money, they don’t want to feel like you fell in love with their money and not them.
Learn to appreciate him more when he does those things for you. But all your worries about him not being willing to give you hard cash will be over if you start to work and aim to earn your own money. Good Luck with that. – Gracey
