One of the 20 families who benefited said: “We were struggling to start new lives as peasant farmers. Goats are highly productive domestic animals and soon we will have established ourselves as self-sustaining communal farmers.”

Other organisations like CRS and Zimbabwe Communal Farmers Trust have assisted the poor families with material to construct Blair toilets at their new homesteads.

Zanu (PF) supporters in the area, led by party ward 19 youth chairperson Romeo Hwenjere, have threatened to poison and kill the donated goats.
