We view the alteration of the political landscape in Libya as a victory for the people of Libya who have been under the oppressive regime of Gaddafi for 42 years. We congradulate the people of Libya for successfully defending their democratic space.

Gaddafi’s two sons Sief al-Islam and al-Saadi must immediately be handed immediately to the International court of Justice in Hague to answer charges of crime against humanity. We want to make it clear that Gaddafi is not welcome in Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe can't be turned into habour for fallen murders. We have Mengistu of Ethopia who have been camping in Harare against the wishes of the people of Zimbabwe after running away from Addis Ababa where he

butchered his own natives. Our members wo are on the ground in Zimbabwe are watching 24 hours if Gaddafi might head to Zimbabwe. There will be hell in Zimbabwe if Gaddafi gets exiled to Zimbabwe.

Zimbabweans can't be his shield against a his legitmate extradiction to Hague to face charges of crime against humanity. There are no national or economic interest in defending Gaddafi.

Meanwhile we cherish an African solution to an African problem, but we embrace and celebrate any assistance from any source to further the interest of democracy.

We have no reason to doubt that NATO came into Libya under the invitation of the greater majority of Libya and of course against the wishes of the oppressor, whose selfish motive was to perpetuate oppression, autocracy and domination.

This explains why we have always questioned the African union and SADC’s rationale in backing Gaddafi’s illegal regime. Gaddafi was never elected by anyone, but seized power through the barrel of the gun in the late 1960s, something that AU and SADC should be frowning at.

Gaddafi’s fall is a wake up call to the remaining African dictators, like Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe, King Mswatie of Swaziland and Kenya’s Mwai Kibaki who should be warned that their dates of oppressing their nationals are numbered.
