Duvillard, who watched the high profile 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifier between Zimbabwe's Warriors and the Lone Star of Liberia at the weekend took a swipe at the authorities in charge of the National Stadium for the bad state of the pitch.
The hard and bumpy surface of the pitch gave both teams problems and Duvillard said the council that manages the stadium had a responsibility to ensure that the pitch is in a good condition.
"The condition of the National Stadium is pathetic to say the least. The quality of the pitch is very bad. You could see the players failed to play their normal game because of the state of the pitch. It forced the players to play the high balls instead of having ball possession on the floor. Those responsible for the stadium management should ensure the pitch is in a good condition. I think that contributed to the score line. We could have won with a bigger margin in my view," said Duvillard.
The Warriors beat Liberia 3-0 in a Group A 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifier to stay on course in the race for a ticket to the biennial soccer showcase to be co-hosted by Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.
