Sibanda was leading a group of MDC youths that was putting up posters to publicise a party rally scheduled for Sunday at Marowa Business Centre. The rally is part of dozens of district rallies that have been lined up across the country.
The police officer turned a victim when he tried to rescue Sibanda from the rowdy Zanu PF youths. A police report has been made at Zvishavane Police Station but no arrests have been made although the culprits have been identified. Sibanda and the police officer are seeking treatment at Zvishavane Hospital.
