Speaking on the side lines of a well-attended show at Manicaland’s leading entertainment spot, The Chapter One Leisure Centre, last Saturday, Shiga Shiga said:
“The band is intact and we are performing as a family. We are not going to look back. As you can see, Peter is doing well and I hope that very soon he will be fully ripened. I want to call upon all Utakataka Express fans to give the young man all the support he needs. The band has got very experienced musicians and performers, and we will assist him whenever possible.”
Though Peter still lacks a bit of energy, confidence and zeal on stage, his dress and public contact is impressive. Spencer Kumulani, the vital cog in the Utakataka Express machine, said the band was working very well and were united.
“The good thing is that Peter is working very hard. Judging by our musical shows, he is improving with each show. We will be guiding him so that he gets to grips with music,” said Kumulani.
