
The two Pretoria-based athletes won their respective races at the City of Polokwane Mayoral Half-Marathon this past weekend, maintaining the Zimbabwean dominance in the two-year-old competition. Nyahora paid tribute to her husband, who also doubles as her coach and markets her to international athletics agents for races abroad.
“When we got married, she was not yet a top runner, though signs of her ability had shown since she was a junior. When we got together, we kept our focus. When she took a break because of pregnancy, many people believed she would not come back, but she proved them wrong,” said her husband.
