Best Zimbabwean sportswoman
Award-winning runner Samukeliso Moyo is my motivation. I wish to follow in her footsteps.
My best year in athletics
The year 2011 is without doubt the best. I was in good gear and accumulated numerous awards.
Best race
The Cape Town Spar Women’s 10 kilometre Challenge in April; although I finished second, I ran my personal best time of 32 minutes 55 seconds.
Best accolade
Although I finished eighth, I still treasure the medal that I won at a marathon in Puerto Rico last February. It was my first time running outside the continent.
Best advice received
My husband and fellow athlete Luwis Masunda always advises me to stay focussed on my career, especially when we are training.
World’s best athlete
For all her achievements – Kenyan-born Dutch long distance runner Lorna Kiplagart.
Best sport outside athletics
Cycling. Although I do not cycle, I enjoy watching it on television. The way they race is not different to the way we do in athletics.
Best friends
I am close friends with Olivia Chitate and Tawapo Bhiri.
