“I am back at training and recently played 45 minutes for the team I joined in August. I am not rushing things and will make a slow return because I want to last in the game this time round,” said Gombami, who expressed gratitude to his new paymasters.
“The new management signed me while they knew that I had an injury and that showed they had trust in me. I now owe them a lot and my desire is to make them realise that they did not make a mistake in signing me. I want to win medals with them and help them get promotion to the topflight league.”
Gombami moved to Belgium in 2007 to join Cercle Brugge, where he played till his injury three years later.
