Young people speak up: JOMIC

Joint Monitoring and Implementation Committee co-chairperson, Priscilla Misihairabwi-Mushonga, is organising a meeting with the principals in the inclusive government and children to allow the younger generation to voice their views on violence and peace.

Addressing youths at the Peace Crusaders Conference: A Violence Free Generation hosted by the Zimbabwe Peace Project recently, Misihairabwi said children should speak up.

“I want you to demand to be head because you are the people who make up Zimbabwe. When debating in your debates, talk about the kind of leader you want,” she said.

The Minister of Regional Trade and International Cooperation urged the children to take advantage of social networks like Facebook to talk about their day to day problems.

“When you go to Facebook l don’t want you to only talk about Arsenal and Liverpool you must also begin to talk about the hard realities of life,” she said.
