Heavily armed police raids the MDC Midlands South province chairperson's house

Heavily armed police officers in Zvishavane Town last night raided the residence of Lillian Timevous, the MDC Midlands South province chairperson claiming they were searching for smuggled goods.

The police officers ransacked every room at the residence but nothing was found. They left after nearly four hours of searching the place. Chairperson Timevous said the presence of the heavily armed police had left her children traumatised.

“The raid was nothing but a sinister political plot by State agents to terrorise me and my family. However, I will not be intimidated by such senseless acts,” she said.
