From the terraces

Warriors

I watched the Warriors sweat into the semi-finals of the Cosafa Senior Challenge in Zambia. Zimbabwe is a better football playing nation than Malawi and we should just walk past such teams. I understand we are trying to rebuild the team though, but rebuilding with old horses does not make any sense. Let’s start recruiting young players to make a big name for the Warriors. – Shephered Mpure, Dzivaresekwa.

Our players have shown a lot of talent in Africa and we have proved to be one of the best in providing talent in such prominent leagues as the ABSA premiership. It is a pity to see such poor administration at ZIFA.

It is the association that holds the success of our football, what then should we look forward to when our football is being driven by people without a licence? – David Mupomera, Southerton.

Dynamos

DeMbare moto. We will win the league against all odds. Nothing will stop us from proving we are the Champions. – Wellington Mapisa, Chitungwiza.

Kalisto Pasuwa you are the man, I believe in you. DeMbare are the Kings of Zimbabwean football. Harare City knows that their lead is temporary. We will take our place soon. – James Gota, Belvedere.

Harare City

The City boys will win the Championship this year. They may not be a big team as all the other clubs but they are capable of causing an upset. Remember when Monomotapa rose from grass to grace and when Gunners resurrected from the dead to win the glory ahead of the so-called big teams? My money is on Harare City this year. – Kenny T, Mufakose.

It is so disappointing to see small teams rise and fall overnight. Gunners fell from Champions to relegation, Motor Action are anchoring the log a few years after winning the league and Monomotapa is struggling. Harare City is leading the chase and it won’t be a surprise to see a disappointing demise of the team in the future. If all these teams could maintain their standards, our league would be one of the most powerful and most exciting. – Ian Tamburai, Glen Norah.

Highlanders

Bosso is not backing down. We will continue fighting and we will win. – Tonderai Rondedzero, Bulawayo.
