The August 22 – 27 tournament, which will see about 200 participants from the region take part, in a charity fund-raising event aimed at assisting under-privileged societies in Mutare. Hillside Golf Club captain, Martin Nyaundi, said the club was ready to host the event. “We are very excited and honoured to host an event of this magnitude and the golf course is perfect and ready for use. This event will give us a lot of activity and I hope that there will be tight competition,” he said.
Nomads golf was first established in South Africa in 1960 with Gary Player as the patron. Its membership has since grown to various countries.
