Big mistake?

Dear Aunty Lisa

I am a young man in business and my small company is three months old. I left my full time job to start my own project, but things are not going as smooth as I thought they would. Sometimes I think of leaving it and going back to being employed. It gets so confusing with the thought of looking for a job scaring me because there aren’t any. Was I wrong to follow my dreams? – Cedric

Dear Cedric

Never regret following any dream of yours, anything you are passionate about is worth pursuing no matter how challenging it may prove to be. You were not wrong in following your dream – but you were wrong in assuming it would be a walk in the park. No big company you see today started off as a big company, it started small with its challenges and the owner at times thinking it would not work. But it did and that is how the cookie crumbles. You learn from every challenge and that is how you grow, every day you are learning. That is healthy and it is a sign your business is stable enough when it survives the test of time. – Aunty Lisa
