4 year old Ngoni needs help to treat mysterious cancer

A group of well-wishers has started an online campaign to help four year old Ngonidzashe Mazarire, who is suffering from a yet unknown type of cancer, and needs money to undergo treatment and surgery in South Africa.

The cancer is eating away Ngoni’s face and head, with lumps growing on and distorting his lips and mouth.

According to the campaigners who include Lucia Nkomo, Ambrose Musiyiwa and Rebuild Sakubva who helping seek for help through Facebook, Ngoni lives with his unemployed parents, Hardlife and Noleen, in Mutare’s Sakubva where they are crammed in one room.

He needs at least $3,000 to cover medical expenses accrued in Zimbabwe so far, and more money is required for travel to and from South Africa, treatment, food and boarding.

Wellwishers said Ngoni’s father, Hardlife, was battling to raise the money and only had $40 in his Steward Bank account, whose number is 1001516961.

Hardlife can also be contacted on +263 771461563 or + 263779773272.

The cancer is rapidly spreading and doctors at Parirenyatwa Hospital in Harare said he must find treatment in South Africa.

There are fears that delays in accessing treatment might further worsen his situation as he is exposed to unhygienic conditions.

Pictures of Ngoni’s rare condition can be found on the Facebook link, https://m.facebook.com/HelpNgonidzashe.
