“I am still celebrating my third place finish in the Durban Spar Ladies marathon, I am a star and I feel proud of my self,” said Nyahora.
“It’s always nice to be among those at the top. It is not always about the first position. Good performance means a lot to me. If you can manage a first to third position, it means a lot. I am happy that I have continued to shine and put my country on the map. I will keep working harder.”
Nyahora attributed her success to long-time manager Nick Bester, a former Comrades Marathon star with whom she has worked for the past nine years. Together, they have secured numerous titles, particularly the Spar Women’s Challenge series and the Bestmed races.
Nyahora has previously scooped medals in the annual Durban Spar Women’s 10 kilometre Challenge, City of Polokwane Mayoral Half Marathon and the season-opening Best Med Tuks Marathon,10km Cape Town Spar Women’s Challenge.
