MDC-T spokesman, Obert Gutu, told Newzimbabwe.com the police said they were looking for MDC-T activists whom they claimed assaulted a Zanu PF supporter who was passing by Harvest House on Saturday.

According to Gutu, the police said a Zanu PF activist, clad in ruling party regalia, was walking past Harvest House when MDC-T activists pounced on him and assaulted him.

Gutu said a truckload of riot police initially parked outside Harvest House around 830AM and then left.

At around lunch time, he said, the same truck returned and the riot police stormed the building where they ransacked through the offices from ground to 6th floor.

In the process, they arrested party workers and took them to Harare Central. Unconfirmed reports said Komichi had since been released.

Komichi is also the MDC-T deputy national chairperson.
