On Thursday 1st September the National Assembly passed the Finance Bill, with amendments, and the Appropriation (Supplementary) Bill and sent both Bills to the Senate. This marked the completion of the National Assembly’s Supplementary Budget Business.
The Senate is due to deal with the Bills when it meets tomorrow, Tuesday 6th September. It will then join the National Assembly in recess.
Parliament has announced that all committee activities will be suspended during the recess.
Meetings of Portfolio Committees and Thematic Committees will, therefore, resume on Monday 19th September.
