Murdered in their own home … The bodies of Lorna Taylor Chirashi and her husband Kenneth Chirashi were found in their locked home on Valentine’s Day
According to reliable sources Collins Jongwe (34) who was arrested in Gokwe whilst driving the couple, Kenneth Pedzisai Chirashi (75) and Lorna Taylor Chirashi (69)’s car told police at the scene that he was with other people in commission of the crime. He implicated one Steven Matenganyika and others known to Matenganyika.
Jongwe it is said revealed that they wanted to rob the two complainants of cash and other valuables.
Sources said the robbers made a hole in the ceiling to gain access to the house. All the rooms were ransacked.
Jongwe’s car a Nissan Primera, was found parked at the intersection of Townsend and Amethyst Roads, Redcliff.
The couple’s bodies were conveyed to Kwekwe General Hospital pending transfer to United Bulawayo Hospitals for postmortem.
