Food Insecurity I Severe drought in Zimbabwe leads to spike in child malnutrition cases

Zimbabwe is recording a spike in cases of malnutrition as food shortages worsen due to the ongoing severe drought caused by the El Niño phenomenon. The Zimbabwean government estimates more than 7.7 million people are facing hunger and will require food assistance until March 2025.
