There are seven open Committee meetings scheduled for this week, as indicated below. Apologies this is being sent after the start of the meetings – we are having problems getting the schedules.
In addition, four committees will be conducting field visits, one to ARDA farms, one to export clusters, one to Manicaland State University and the fourth to mines. The times and dates of the visits are shown below.
“Open”, in the context of committee meetings, means that the meetings are open to attendance by members of the public, but as observers only. Members of the public wishing to attend meetings in the New Parliament Building will need to produce their IDs to gain entry to the Building.

Youths and PWDs to the Mining Sector
A joint committee of the Portfolio Committee on Mines and Mining Development and the Thematic Committee on Gender and Development will be conducting field visits and public hearings to assess the extent to which women, youths and persons with disabilities have access to mines and the mining value chain.
The joint committee is divided into two teams, and at each venue the teams will meet women, youths and PWDs engaged in mining. The teams’ itineraries are as follows:
