Zimbabwe Paralympic Committee chairperson, Michael Muza, lauded the Ministry of Education, Art Sports and Culture together with the commission for sports in the country for allowing disabled people to show off their talents.
“I want to thank the Ministry of Education, Sport, Arts and Culture through the SRC for coming up with this unique brand of Paralympic Games. The corporate world should join hands with us and support the disabled athletes, said Muza.
“These games are a platform for talent identification and selecting a vibrant team that will represent the country on the international arena. People like Elliot Mujaji have reached dizzy heights at the Olympic Games,” he commended.
Masvingo are the defending champions after winning the inaugural edition in Bulawayo, last year.

The second edition of the Zimbabwe National Paralympic Games was launched, last week, with the four day showcase set to burst into life on August 26. The Local Organising Committee led by Thomas Muteta, set their budget to the sum of US$250 000. The launch at Flamboyant Hotel, in Masvingo on June 25 raised a total of US$117 000.
