"I think the Premier Soccer League should put in place measures to ensure that the use of juju is not practiced. It should have no place in modern day running of football. Teams win matches based on their training and are not aided by the use of substances like urine.
It's sad that we continue to see players and officials spraying substances like urine before matches in the belief that it will aid them to get positive result. We need to put a full stop to such practices," he said.
Mhungu's remarks came after Reigning Soccer Star of the Year, Charles Sibanda, who plays for FC Platinum was arrested for assaulting Chicken Inn assistant coach Adam Ndlovu at Luveve Stadium at the weekend.
The former Motor Action striker had to be whisked away by cops from Luveve Police Station after the match for allegedly assaulting Ndlovu in the dressing room following an altercation over the use of juju.
The Chicken Inn camp claim that Sibanda poured urine in their dressing room before the altercation with Ndlovu and subsequent assault before kick off.
The two teams shared the spoils following a 1-1 draw. The use of juju has of late become common in football here.
