The three assailants who were wearing masks, allegedly shoved a piece of cloth into Pindani’s mouth and dragged him to Mt Tikwiri shopping centre where they reportedly attacked him with unknown objects before disappearing into the night.
The motive of the attack remains unknown.
Police spokesperson Inspector Clemence Mabgweazara, confirmed the incident saying investigations were in progress.
No arrests have been made so far.

The arrest of the assailants will send a clear and unequivocal message that the police will not tolerate these wanton and very disturbing attacks against journalists going about their lawful professional duties.
