Best career moment
My graduation to the Saints senior team in 1990 was the highlight of my career. It was an honour being in the same team with players like John Sibanda, Misheck Sibanda, Melusi Nkiwane, Ben Nzelengwe, George Ayibu, Jimmy Phiri, Norman Gumbo, Joseph Machingura and Stanley Mutasa. I was only 16 years old.
Best goal scored
I am not sure of the year, but it was in a league game, which I think we won 2-1, against Caps United at Barbourfields. Coach Gibson Homela had drafted me to play in midfield.
I received the ball in our half, raced towards the 18-yard-area and unleashed a shot from outside the box. The effort was too hot for Brenna Msiska to handle. I scored the goal at the famous Soweto end.
My Best teammate
There were three. Matambanashe Sibanda, Nkosana Gumbo and Muzondiwa Mugadza. That was one of the most-talented teams ever produced in the history of Zimbabwe Saints.
Best opponent
I always stood my ground in marking strikers. It was rare for them to get the better of me. I enjoyed watching my team-mate Agent Sawu terrorise opposing defenders.
Best match played in
I always enjoyed playing against Dynamos, Caps United and Highlanders.
My Best coach
Gibson Homela. The man has vast knowledge of football and commands a lot of respect.
Best Zimbabwe Saints player ever
That is a tough one! Everyone who played for Saints was quality and the best in their own way.
My Best venue
Barbourfields Stadium – it accommodated the flair and style of play that Saints was accustomed to, which is similar to Barcelona and Arsenal of this era!
World’s best defender
My late team-mate, Innocent Rwodzi. He was a joy to play alongside.
Best sportsperson outside football
Motor-racer, Lewis Hamilton. He is the only reason I watch Formula One!
