Zimbabwe will host this year’s edition of the annual African States Bowling tournament, scheduled for October 8- 18 in Alexandra Club, Harare.
Several African countries will battle-it-out for the championship title.
Tournament director, Trish Davies, said the organizing committee has been handling procedures for the preparations.
“We have meetings every week to discuss the way forward and the progress made in preparation for the tournament. The invites have been sent out to all eligible countries and all of them except Namibia have confirmed their participation,” said Davies.
The association is looking for sponsorship. Zimbabwe came second last year to South Africa and has since been ranked as one of the top bowling teams in Africa, both in the men and women’s category.
