HARARE - Cases of breast cancer have risen in many parts of the country, according to the Breast Cancer Alleviation. The group is calling for more campaigns to be carried out ahead of breast cancer awareness month in October. There is need to spread the word on breast cancer because the cases are becoming more prevalent, said Prisca Kusema, co-ordinator for campaigns in Zimbabwe.
Gutu is said to be one of the most affected districts.
Alhough breast cancer has been associated with older women, recent findings have also revealed that young girls and even men are at risk from the disease.
