Alzheimers is the most prevalent form, representing 60 per cent of people with dementia. Cox has recently acquired a higher diploma in Dementia Care. It is a three year, long distance course, with the University of Bradford, UK. The course covered many aspects of dementia in respect of caring for people with dementia and their carers/loved ones.
Please be advised this is not a medical diploma and Sue is not qualified to diagnose dementia. The Doctor/Specialists can diagnose dementia by a process of elimination, scans, mini mental tests etc. Sue is available for appointments on Saturday afternoons between 2 and 5 pm at 26 Dacomb Drive, Chisipite, Harare, effective 3 October 2009.
